Ethos restaurant, Eastcastle Street, London

Q Lighting worked on the lighting design for the self service restaurant ‘Ethos’.   They specialise in meat-free cuisine that tastes as good as it is for you, from around the globe.

In 2015 Ethos was the ‘Retail Weeks Interior’ winner and ‘TimeOut London’ awards it five stars, designed by i-am Associates.

The general lighting is recessed into linear troughs guiding your eyes through the interior, which is in the main neutral but the clever use of golds, silvers and blues transform the restaurant into a strikingly unique space, that feels organic.

The ceiling has been dropped slightly around the perimeter and around the cloud shaped cut-outs where the (over) 4m birch trees pierce through the ceiling, to allow for subtle edge-lighting which gives the impression that the trees are breaking through to the sky and letting Ethos Restaurant, Eastcastle Street, London

Higher light levels and additional feature pendants illuminate the delicious food areas, whist the seating area has lower light levels and accent wall lights to provide a more intimate dining experience drawing in vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

Please note that the lighting equipment was supplied by others.
